Terms of Service
By scheduling any cleaning service with Extra Scrub Cleaning Services Inc. (“Extra Scrub,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), you agree to the following Terms of Service.
1. Booking Confirmation
A confirmed booking, whether through our website, phone, or email, constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions. Once an appointment is scheduled and confirmed by our team, a service agreement is formed between the Client and Extra Scrub Cleaning Services Inc.
2. Service Limitations
- Cleaning animal waste (e.g., litter boxes, urine, feces)
- Mold remediation
- Exterior or outdoor cleaning (garages, patios, balconies, etc.)
- Moving heavy or delicate furniture/items
- Accessing crawl spaces or attics
- Cleaning bodily fluids
- Working in homes with active pest infestations
- Dishwashing
- Full wall or ceiling cleaning
- Cleaning hard-to-reach or unsafe areas (e.g., behind large appliances)
- Cleaning light fixtures above 8 feet in height
- We reserve the right to assess a job site upon arrival and decline any service deemed unsafe, unsanitary, or outside our scope.
3. Estimates and Pricing
Quotes provided via our booking form or during initial consultations are estimates only and based on the information provided at the time. The actual condition, size, and readiness of the property may result in price adjustments. Final pricing will be discussed with the client before service begins.
4. Payment Terms
- Payment is due once the service is completed on the same day.
- To secure a booking, clients must provide a valid credit card at the time of scheduling.
- No service appointment will be confirmed without a credit card on file.
- The credit card on file will be charged the same day the service is completed, unless payment is made by e-transfer immediately after cleaning.
- For e-transfer payments, funds must be sent on the same day as service completion to avoid automatic credit card processing.
5. Cancellations and Access
- Notify us at least 24 hours in advance to avoid cancellation fees.
- Same-day cancellations or failure to provide access will result in a charge of 50% of the full service cost.
- If our team arrives and cannot gain entry, the full service amount will be charged.
- If the condition of the home is significantly worse than described and we refuse service due to safety concerns, a 50% cancellation fee will apply.
6. Home Preparation and Readiness
- Pick up items from the floor (e.g., toys, clothing).
- Load dishes into the dishwasher or clear sinks.
- Clear excessive clutter from countertops and floors.
- Secure any pets in a designated space.
- Homes not adequately prepared may result in reduced service or additional charges.
7. Indoor Climate Requirements
- Maintain indoor temperature between 20–21°C (68–70°F).
- If the temperature exceeds 23°C (73°F), cleaning may be refused, and a cancellation fee will apply.
- This ensures safety and comfort for our team during physically demanding work.
8. Client Responsibility
- Clients are responsible for securing valuables, personal items, and fragile belongings before arrival.
- Extra Scrub Cleaning Services Inc. is not liable for damage to items not properly stored or secured.
9. Service Satisfaction Guarantee
- If you’re dissatisfied with any part of your cleaning, notify us within 24 hours.
- We will return to address and resolve the issue at no additional cost.
- No refunds will be issued without the opportunity to re-clean the space.
10. Insurance and Liability
- We are fully insured.
- In the event of accidental damage, notify us immediately.
- We are not liable for pre-existing conditions, poor structural integrity, or improperly installed systems.
11. Health and Safety Conditions
- Inform us prior to the appointment if there are hazardous conditions, pest activity, or substances posing a risk.
- We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service if conditions are unsafe or unsanitary.
12. Content Creation and Media Usage
- We may take before-and-after photos or videos for marketing purposes.
- No personal or identifying details will be shown.
- If you wish to opt out, notify us in writing before your scheduled service.
13. Policy Updates
These Terms of Service may be updated or modified at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
